OUR STORY
IMC Shining Light is a Christian ministry founded by Rev. Jose Manuel Perez and his family in 2008. Today, they work alongside their team with a passion for sharing biblical teaching with sound doctrine, Eschatological studies, and devotional messages through diverse programs. With our headquarters in Upstate NY, IMCSL is in the initial phase of developing a worldwide church-planting vision with the support of our media programs.
IMCSL's story is one of profound gratitude for God's friendship, faithfulness, strength, sifting, and healing. With stories of trials, tears, and miracles, we share our journey with you!
FOUNDERS BIO
Rev. Jose Manuel Perez and Aldy Perez
Rev. Jose Manuel Perez began his ministry at the young age of 14 years. Between the 80's and 90's, he served in the Assemblies of God (AG) as an Evangelist in Venezuela. Before the establishment of the socialist government in the country, Perez was led by God (alongside a faithful group of men) to travel the nation and announce the tragic downfall to come.
Then known for his prophetic ministry, Perez became a notorious voice for the church in Venezuela leading to the political conflict of 1999. In 2000, at the age of 27, Perez left the country with his young family after being instructed by God to establish himself in the United States and wait for a coming revival over the church of Christ. It wasn't until 2007, after Aldy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, that God officially gave them the name "International Missionary Community Shining Light" along with the vision of the ministry. Today, Rev. Jose Manuel, alongside his wife (Aldy) and three adult children (Gabriela, Angely, and Robert) have been serving the Lord in Upstate NY, faithfully living in the purpose promised by God.

TIMELINE
2000-2003
A NEW BEGINNING
Rev. Jose Manuel and Aldy Perez moved from Venezuela to the United States with their two young daughters, Gabriela (4) and Angely (infant) where they planted a group of independent churches in the state of Connecticut.
2003-2010
MOUNTAIN OF PRAYER
The Perez family, now with five family members, moved to Upstate NY to begin Pastoring a church in the city of Kingston, Mountain of Prayer. Aldy was admitted to Benedict Hospital in 2007 with Stage 4 Leukemia, where she had a miraculous healing and a revelation that would change the course of their ministry.
