International Church Planting: ARGENTINA

This Fall, the Lord answered our long-standing prayer to begin the church planting process in South America. We knew He was calling us to Argentina, but many challenges arose in battle against this call. Yet, God was faithful and finally opened the door. When He said, “Go!”, we knew that nothing could stop us! In October, Senior Pastor Jose Manuel and his wife, Aldy, made the first trip to visit our planting pastors, Abelardo and Yasmine Guedez. Abelardo and Yasmine are a Venezuelan couple now living in Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina with their sons, Abdias (15) and Abdiel (13), and Abelardo's mother, Paula Guedez. After eight years of living in Argentina, focusing on their spiritual needs as a family, Abelardo and Yasmine have now turned their attention to the spiritual needs of their city. With the growing challenges of poverty, immorality, drug use, and crime, the souls of Buenos Aires have become an urgent focus for our international church planting program. This led Jose Manuel and Aldy to meet with Abelardo and his family to discuss the next steps.
We ask for your prayers as we plan to take a team—composed of Pastor Jose Manuel, Aldy Perez, and young men and women from our church community in Saugerties, NY—beginning in March 2025. As expected, our team will face several challenges. For most of them, this means adapting to a new culture, language, and environment.
Another challenge will be housing the team in an apartment complex we will rent in the city. Since we are entirely funded by donations and offerings, this will be a new expense, one we will joyfully take on. Having witnessed the Lord's miraculous provision in the past, we are confident that we will see it again!
In light of all this, we ask for your faithful and persistent prayers. Argentina is in great need of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray that our team is led by the Holy Spirit to share the Gospel with even greater passion, conviction, truth, and spirit-filled authority to stand against the powers of darkness that bind the sinner. Pray that we can receive the necessary funds to house the team. Pray that the Lord grants us divine wisdom to face every challenge with faith, courage, patience, and love.
